Calendula Tincture
Calendula Tincture
Calendula is one of the most useful of all plants and in South American countries is considered a sacred medicine plant. It is a powerful vulnerary that heals the body by promoting cell repair, and also acts as an antiseptic preventing infection from occurring.
Internally, a calendula tincture is used for fevers and for gastrointestinal problems such as ulcers, cramps, indigestion, and diarrhea. It also helps heal sore or dry throats and muscle spasms.
Topically, a diluted calendula tincture can be used to treat an assortment of skin irritations, including bug bites, pimples, rashes, and fungi infections. It is most often used externally for acne, bruises, minor burns, abrasions, small shallow wounds, sores, and skin ulcers.
