  • Native Land Project is an online map showing indigenous territories, languages, and treaties. Territory acknowledgment is a way that people insert an awareness of Indigenous presence and land rights in everyday life. Territory acknowledgments are one small part of disrupting and dismantling colonial structures.   • Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women is an organization dedicated to stopping violence against Native women and children by advocating for social change in their communities. CSVANW was created to provide support to other Native advocates working in domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking and sex trafficking in New Mexico’s tribal communities.

  • Showing Up For Racial Justice (SURJ) is a multi-racial movement is to undermine white support for white supremacy and to help build a racially just society.

  • Black Lives Matter In response to the sustained and increasingly visible violence against Black communities in the U.S. and globally, a collective of more than 50 organizations representing thousands of Black people from across the country. They are a collective that centers and is rooted in Black communities, and also recognize the shared struggle with all oppressed people; collective liberation will be a product of all of our work.

  • Trans Funds & Resources is a 10-page google doc compilation of funds, resources, and mutual aid links to support Black trans and non-binary people + organizations across the country.

  • White Awake helps white people develop the courage, community, understanding, and inner resolve required to divest from white supremacy, and enter into the work of collective liberation as whole people, committed for the long haul.   • Diversity Toolkit: A Guide to Discussing Identity, Power and Privilege is meant for anyone who feels there is a lack of productive discourse around issues of diversity and the role of identity in social relationships, both on a micro (individual) and macro (communal) level.

  • Sweet Freedom Farm is a BIPOC and abolitionist-led farming project that focuses on growing and distributing vegetables, grain, herbs, medicines, and maple syrup to their community, prioritizing the folks affected by the incarceration system. They act as a training site for young BIPOC farmers,  a gathering space for partnering projects in the alliance, and as a host site for youth in alternative-to-incarceration programs.  

  • Soul Fire Farm is a BIPOC-centered community farm committed to ending racism and injustice in the food system. They raise and distribute life-giving food as a means to end food apartheid. They bring diverse communities together on their farm to share skills in sustainable agriculture, natural building, spiritual activism, health, and environmental justice. They are training the next generation of activist farmers and strengthening the movements for food sovereignty and community self-determination.

  • Mariposas Sin Fronteras is a Tucson, AZ-based group that seeks to end the systemic violence and abuse of LGBTQ people held in prison and immigration detention. They envision a society that no longer finds solutions in the system of immigration detention or the prison industrial complex.

  • Women’s Earth Alliance works at the intersections of women’s rights and the environment. WEA strengthens women’s leadership, secures women’s rights, and addresses some of the biggest environmental challenges facing our world today.

  • Indigenous Environmental Network is an alliance of grassroots indigenous peoples whose mission is to protect the sacredness of Mother Earth from contamination and exploitation by strengthening, maintaining, and respecting traditional teachings and natural laws. They work to build the capacity of Indigenous communities and tribal governments; they organize campaigns, direct actions, and local, regional, and national meetings on environmental and economic justice issues; and they build alliances among Indigenous communities, tribes, inter-tribal and Indigenous organizations, and other non-indigenous groups.

  • Svalbard Global Seed Vault is the ultimate insurance policy for the world’s food supply, offering options for future generations to overcome the challenges of climate change and population growth. It will secure, for centuries, millions of seeds representing every important crop variety available in the world today. It is the final backup.

  • The Vermont Freedom Fund is a statewide, volunteer-run bail fund that pays pretrial bail and immigration bonds, as well as other expenses to get community members released from jail.

  • National Bail Fund Network works with and provides resources for community bail funds that are freeing people by paying bail/bond and are also fighting to abolish the money bail system and pretrial detention.

  • The Sliding Scale: A Tool of Economic Justice An excellent resource from Alexis J. Cunningfolk describing how the sliding scale is a tool that allows for a product or service to be obtained at multiple price points based on the circumstances of the purchaser. The sliding scale represents the idea that financial resources, including income, are not and should not be the only determining factor in whether or not someone can access services/care/etc.

Calls to Action

  • Ukraine Herbal Solidarity is a grassroots volunteer project that shares herbal medicine with refugees who have fled russia’s genocidal re-invasion of Ukraine. They are a team of Ukrainian and international herbalists who have gathered medicines grown, prepared, and donated from all over the world. They distribute their medicines at a refugee evacuation stop in Poland. Ukraine Herbal Solidarity can also donate medicines to projects that can distribute medicines within Ukraine and to refugees within their networks.

  • Donate to Black Trans Groups is a way to redistribute resources to support Black trans liberation and survival. You can split a donation to all the organizations listed on this page or allocate specific amounts to individual groups.

  • Imagine WaterWorks is a Native, Creole, queer, trans-led organization that supports climate justice, water management, and disaster readiness and response. This fund goes directly to relief efforts led by locals.

  • Haitian Bridge Alliance Support and develop a self-sufficient community of Haitian immigrants in California and beyond.

  • Urgent Appeal For Covid-19 Herbal Solidarity With Refugees for the last five years, Herbalists without Borders UK has maintained a presence in Northern France supporting refugees and migrants risking their lives to cross the British Border. Now they collectively face their biggest challenge yet – a global pandemic. They believe they can make an effective intervention if they act quickly and deliver a blanket flu pack distribution to all refugees in the area.   • Herbalist Mutual Aid Directory is a directory of herbalists that are offering free or sliding-scale herbal medicines to support people during the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim is to create a comprehensive directory of grassroots herbal medicine support available around the world during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Herbalists Without Borders embraces a collective vision of a global community where all people have access to affordable natural & botanical health and wellness. HWB embraces non-violence, social justice, health, and wellness as means to transform cultural and global trauma and violence.

  • The Herbal Action Network connects herbalists around the country in support of social and environmental justice. The Network was launched to formalize a network of herbalists and ensure that calls for support were more efficient and effective. They also share educational resources and organizing tools among the herbal community.

  • Herbal Medics Assisting with Natural Disasters working to coordinate and promote aid to on the ground clinic teams assisting with natural disaster relief efforts.

  • Seed, Soil + Spirit BIPOC Scholarship Fund is for a 6-month, 60-hour course that is intended for Queer, Trans, and racialized folks as well as their Allies. It will take place in Tkaronto (Toronto – In the City Where Trees Stand On Water) from July to December of 2020.   • Ujamaa Seeds is a project of the Ujamaa Cooperative Farming Alliance (UCFA). UCFA, a BIPOC led collective recognizes the need for increased diversity in farming in general, and diversity in the $15 billion dollar U.S. seed industry in particular. They are committed to providing increased opportunities and support for growers from historically marginalized communities. To this end, the UCFA is working to bridge the gap between prospective growers and seed companies.

  • Strictly Medicinal (formerly Horizon Herbs) is a family-owned seed, plant, and medicine distributor located in Oregon. Their collection is diverse, affordable, and fairly sourced from all over the world.

  • Earthbeat Seeds is based out of Vermont and owned and run by Jessica Manchester.   • Solidarity Apothecary the mission of the Solidarity Apothecary is to materially support revolutionary struggles and communities with plant medicines to strengthen collective autonomy, self-defense and resilience to climate change, capitalism and state violence.

  • Herbalista recognizes healthcare as a fundamental human right.
